There’s nothing better than watching a brand you built from the ground up continue to grow — and being trusted to take it even further.
For this campaign, I partnered with University of Oregon track star Aaliyah McCormick to produce a series of TV commercials that I wrote and directed, blending her powerhouse energy with the brand’s bold personality.
We paired the release with a teaser-style social campaign that built buzz the week before launch — keeping audiences curious and engaged right up to the premiere.
From the original logo and identity to a full broadcast campaign, this project was the ultimate full-circle creative moment — and proof that when a brand trusts the process, magic happens. ✨

Taking an established brand from identity to full campaign.
BEST Roofing & Waterproofing is a brand Supernova has helped build from the ground up. When the opportunity came to partner with University of Oregon track athlete Aaliyah McCormick, the goal was to create something bigger than a single advertisement—an integrated campaign that felt unmistakably BEST.
The Opportunity
BEST already had a bold, recognizable brand. This campaign gave us an opportunity to take that personality into a completely different medium and connect the idea of being your “BEST” with the determination, confidence, and mindset of a high-level athlete.
The creative direction centered on a simple idea: being the best isn’t just a title—it’s a mindset. That message became the foundation for a campaign designed to feel energetic, confident, and consistent with the brand.
The Campaign
Supernova developed the creative direction for a series of television commercials featuring Aaliyah McCormick, including writing and directing the spots.
Rather than simply releasing the commercials, we built anticipation leading up to the launch with a teaser-style social campaign. A series of countdown posts gradually introduced the campaign message and athlete, keeping the audience curious until the commercial premiered.
The campaign included:
- Creative concept and campaign direction
- Commercial writing and direction
- Athlete-focused photography and visual direction
- Campaign messaging
- Teaser and countdown social graphics
- Launch graphics and supporting campaign creative
Bringing the Brand Together
What makes this project especially meaningful is how far the BEST brand has grown.
What began with the development of its original logo and visual identity evolved into a full broadcast and social campaign—all while maintaining the same bold personality and recognizable brand presence.
It’s a great example of what happens when branding and marketing are treated as an ongoing relationship rather than a series of disconnected projects. With an established understanding of the brand already in place, we were able to take a new opportunity and build a campaign that felt like a natural extension of everything BEST had already become.
Branding doesn’t stop at the logo. This is what it looks like when a brand continues to grow.
